Question

What does the AI assistant answer if the customer asks which product suits their skin type?

Answer

It recommends based on the skin type labels given in the descriptions. On questions about skin conditions, inflammation or medication it makes no recommendation: it points to a dermatologist and the shop’s specialist.

The answer in detail

The recommendation starts from the skin type labels in the product descriptions: it chooses from products labelled for dry, oily, combination or sensitive skin. The labels are in the company’s own knowledge base, and the source is shown next to the answer.

Before recommending, it asks the customer for their exact skin type and the products they already use. On a question about skin conditions, inflammation or medication it gives no advice: it asks for contact details and hands off to a colleague.

What you need to upload

  • skin type labels for each product
  • ingredients and fragrance labelling
  • warning on sensitive skin
  • the shop specialist’s contact details and opening hours
  • the information text directing to a dermatologist

Sample conversation

Customer: My skin is dry, what do you recommend?

AI assistant: The label in the product descriptions shows who the products are for. This cream is recommended for dry skin.

Customer: It is also inflamed, and I take medication for it.

AI assistant: I cannot advise on inflammation or medication; a dermatologist or our specialist can help with that. Please give me your contact details, and our colleague will get in touch with you.

Sample conversation

Customer: I need a day cream for oily skin, which one should I buy?

AI assistant: Based on the skin type labels in the descriptions, I can show you the face creams labelled for oily skin. Do you already use any products?

Customer: So far I have used a face wash and a serum, and my skin is also sensitive.

AI assistant: I will show you the products labelled for sensitive skin. If inflammation or medication is also involved, please give your email address or phone number, and our colleague will be in touch shortly.

What it does not answer

Here the assistant gives no advice. It asks for the customer’s contact details and hands the question off to a colleague. A question about skin conditions, inflammation or medication is answered by a dermatologist or the shop’s specialist.

Our colleague will answer this: please leave your contact details. The assistant can forward the question and the contact details to you; your colleague gets in touch using the contact details given.
