Go-live – what does it mean?
Definition
Go-live: Go-live is the moment when the assistant answers real visitors on the real website.
Once the test questions are approved, the widget is switched to live.
How it works
Before go-live the assistant works in trial mode, and the team checks its answers with test questions. If these are in order, the widget goes onto the real website and answers visitors’ questions.
After go-live, watch what visitors ask. Incomplete answers are flagged in the weekly summary and can be taught with one click. What the assistant does not know, it does not make up: it asks for the contact details and hands the question over to a colleague.
An example at a company
On the day of go-live, the company’s manager receives an email with the link where the assistant is already answering on the real site. On the third day the list of the first real questions arrives. By then the assistant answers from the company’s own text; it hands incomplete questions over to a colleague.
What this means for business leaders
Ask for the condition of the go-live promise in writing. Ask the provider what happens if a test question receives a wrong answer, and who corrects it.
Without a test, the assistant may give wrong answers to the first customers, which damages your company’s reputation. Good onboarding is shown by the list of test questions.
How we do it
Onboarding is done by our team, and before go-live we check the assistant’s answers with ten test questions. Our commitment: live within two working days, if we have access to edit your website or your web developer places the code snippet.
The weekly summary shows what was asked, and an unanswered question can be taught with one click.
