AI assistant – what does it mean?

How it works

The assistant works from your company’s knowledge base. It looks for the parts relevant to the question among the website, the product pages, the price list and the documents, and formulates the answer from them. The source is shown next to the answer, so the text can be traced back.

If there is no matching content in the knowledge base, the assistant does not make up an answer. In that case it asks for the enquirer’s contact details and hands the question over to a colleague. The unanswered question appears in the weekly summary and can be added to the knowledge base with one click.

An example at a company

In the evening, a customer of an online store asks about delivery time. The assistant answers from the delivery terms page, and the source is shown.

The customer then asks about a custom product for which there is no content. The assistant asks for their email address and hands the question over to a colleague. In the morning the owner sees the question and can teach it to the assistant with one click from the weekly summary.

What this means for business leaders

Quality depends on the content of the knowledge base: it is worth reviewing what is in it. Ask the provider what happens when there is no answer, and where the assistant takes figures from. The right answer: it hands over and does not guess.

How we do it

Onboarding is done by our team, and before go-live we check the assistant’s answers with ten test questions. Our commitment: live within two working days, if we have access to edit your website or your web developer places the code snippet.

The Chat AI Starter monthly fee is €14.90 / month excl. VAT, with a monthly allowance of 500 answered questions. We send an email at 75, 90 and 100 percent of the allowance; there are no surprise invoices.
