Question

What does the AI assistant answer if the customer asks about a product's effect?

Answer

It only says what is in the product’s official description. On questions about illness, treatment or dosage, it points to the shop’s specialist or a doctor and asks for contact details; it does not answer itself.

The answer in detail

On the effect, the assistant answers from the product’s official description, which is part of the knowledge base. The source is shown next to the answer. It does not go beyond the content of the description, and it does not add to the manufacturer’s text.

First it asks which product the question is about. If the customer wants to know about illness, treatment or dosage, it directs the question to the shop’s specialist.

In that case it asks for contact details and hands the question off to a colleague. The owner sees the unanswered question in the weekly summary and can teach it with one click; the How it works page gives an overview of how it operates.

What you need to upload

  • the official manufacturer description of the effect, for each product page
  • the description of use and dosage
  • the list of ingredients and allergens
  • FAQ on product use

Sample conversation

Customer: Good evening. Does this magnesium help against muscle cramps?

AI assistant: I cannot give advice on a question about muscle cramps. The product's official description can be read on the product page, and the shop's specialist can tell you about the rest.

Customer: Can it be given to children too?

AI assistant: I do not give advice on medical questions. Please give me your contact details, and our colleague will contact you.

What it does not answer

On this question the assistant gives no advice. It asks for the customer’s contact details and hands the question off to a colleague. Along with the contact details it also asks for the product name and the exact question; the answer is given by the shop’s specialist, and on a health question by a doctor.

Our colleague will answer this: please leave your contact details. The assistant can forward the question and the contact details to you; your colleague gets in touch using the contact details given.
