Shoprenter integration – what does it mean?
Definition
Shoprenter integration: Shoprenter integration is the connection of the Shoprenter online store’s product data and the widget to the assistant.
A regular sync loads the product data into the knowledge base; the widget is added to the theme or installed through the app store.
How it works
The integration has two parts: the transfer of product data and the widget that appears on the website. The name, price and stock of the products in the Shoprenter online store are transferred to the assistant’s knowledge base hourly or daily. The assistant only reads from the online store; it does not change products or prices.
The widget is built into the website theme by inserting a code snippet. Our team carries out the onboarding.
An example from a company
A visitor to a Shoprenter online store asks how many units of a product are in stock. The assistant answers from the synced product data, and the source is shown next to the answer. If the question is not covered by the knowledge base, it does not guess: it asks for the visitor’s contact details and hands the question off to a colleague.
What this means for business owners
Ask the provider how often the sync runs, and what happens if something is not in the knowledge base. The right answer: the assistant hands off to a colleague and does not guess.
If the stock figure does not come from a sync, the assistant may give yesterday’s data; so it is worth clarifying where it takes the figure from. The How it works page describes the steps of the process.
How we do it
For Shoprenter, UNAS and WooCommerce online stores, products, prices and stock come from a sync that runs hourly or daily. Our team carries out the onboarding, and before go-live we check the assistant with ten test questions.
The source is shown next to the answer, and the assistant answers in the customer’s language. The Pricing page lists the packages and the onboarding fee.
