How it works

In the Google Tag Manager interface, the code snippets intended for the website, called tags, can be managed in one place. The developer places only Tag Manager’s own code on the website, once.

After that, the marketer creates a new tag in the interface and pastes in the code snippet. On activation, the tag loads on every page, so the assistant appears on every page. From then on, replacing the code snippet does not require touching the website template.

An example at a company

A marketer creates a new tag in the Tag Manager interface, pastes in the code snippet and activates it. The assistant then appears on the pages, without involving the web developer.

The marketer opens the website on a few pages and checks that the widget is visible. If something is missing, they modify the tag in the interface.

What this means for business leaders

If the site already has Tag Manager, this installation is a simple route, because the website template does not need to be changed. Ask your marketer who has access to Tag Manager, and who approves changes.

Also ask what happens if another tag conflicts with the code snippet. The risk: the widget does not load, and the assistant remains invisible.

How we do it

Our team carries out onboarding: live within two working days, if we have access to edit your website or your web developer places the code snippet. The snippet can also be placed in Tag Manager.
